Polycom IP 6060 Guide | VOIspeed

By default Polycom IP 6060 phones are configured to disconnect the call after 60 seconds (Log of the PBX will show the SIP response “603 decline”).  You can change the default behaviour via the configuration file of the phone.

Follow the steps below:

  • Export the Phone Back up file by going to Utilities à Phone Back and Restore.
  • Open the file in an advanced text editor (e.g. Notepad ++) and look for the call.offeringTimeout string under the web root element. By default call.offeringTimeout =”XX” is set to 60 which rejects the call after 60 seconds of ringing. You can change the time by replacing the existing set up time (e.g. if you set to 20 then phone will reject the call after 20 seconds.). If you want the phone to reject the call based on the PBX settings then set the time to 0 (zero).
  • Save the file and upload the same file from the Restore phone section.
  • Once you upload the file, phone will reboot and changed settings will be applied to the phone.
